2015 was another memorable year.
I turned 30. I am pregnant with baby #2. My sister had baby #2. Friends got married. Friends had babies. I strengthened friendships with people I truly love to be around. I distanced myself from people and friendships that don’t add any value to my life. I made a point to spend as much time with my family as possible.
I watched my amazing MIL run her first (and I know it won’t be her last) marathon at age 59. It inspired me to want to run another one!
I welcomed a deeper yoga practice into my life and fell in love with it and the value it added. It helped me accept who I am as a woman, wife, friend, and most importantly, as a mother.
I ran and I trained and I raced. I didn’t find the success or speed that I was hoping for. I was disappointed, there is no getting around that. But I was also proud. I did all of the training while working full-time and being present for my husband and daughter.
Unfortunately, we also had to say some goodbyes.
Just last month, Grandma Jennie (Fizz’s grandmother and Jennie’s namesake) passed away at home after a battle with cancer. She was a charming and loving woman with a beautiful soul and she will be missed dearly. I am so happy Jennie was able to spend a significant amount of time with her and we will always carry her memory through our daughter.
And a few months ago we said goodbye to Harley, our amazing and lovable French Mastiff. He suddenly became very sick and passed away by our side just a couple of days later. Fizz got him as a puppy when we were in college. He was so amazing and loyal. We miss him very much!
I want to say thank you to everyone who visits, reads and comments on this blog. I am appreciative for another year of your support. I am so excited for 2016. My sister is getting married, Fizz and I are having another baby, I am going to Vegas! SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!
From my family to yours, Happy New Year!
